Live Life with Coda
If you haven’t checked out Coda yet, then stop right now and go take a look. You will not regret it. It seems to have caused quite a stir around the net, and with good reason. Coda moves to make other programs of its kind all but obsolete. From a developers standpoint, Coda has all the features you could dream of, and then a bit more for good measure.
So far, my favorite feature is the “Clips.” It is a great idea, and the customization options open it up so much that I can’t stop wondering what I can do with it next. I laughed when I tried out the “lorem” clip, it made so much sense I couldn’t believe no one had thought of adding this type of feature before.
I did, however, think of a nice possible addition that I think many developers would enjoy. There is a feature in Coda that allows you to highlight lines of code that have been recently edited. After turning it on, I thought to myself “Now if I could just right click on any highlighted chunk of code and undo only that piece, I would be set.” Non-linear undo-ing has been a desire for a long time, and I think Coda should be the one to perfect it. All in all, Coda has stolen my heart. And has made all the guys in the office drool for a couple days now. Thank you Panic, thank you.

Michael TurnwallGuess you’ll have to finally convert to using your Mac for more than just testing. Don’t you want to be as cool as Josh T. and myself?

Joshua TuscanYeah, get with the program. All the cool kids are doing it, don’t you feel like such a square with your Start menu and .dll files?
